This session explores the principles underpinning value-based procurement in MedTech, the evidence supporting its adoption, and the NHS’s plans for rolling it out across England. Chaired by Chris Whitehouse, it brings together senior voices from the Department of Health and Social Care, industry and clinical practice to examine a new assessment methodology for MedTech device procurement — developed in collaboration with DHSC’s Medical Technology and Innovation Unit. Speakers will explore the benefits the new approach can deliver, the challenges that remain, and what it means in practice for suppliers, clinicians and commissioners.
