Steve is the Chairman of the British Industrial Design Association and CEO of Smallfry, a leading product design consultancy, specialising in new product development. As CEO of Smallfry, Steve has developed Smallfry’s unique strategic product development methodology. Working with blue chip companies around the world, including Boots, Lloyds Pharmacies, P&G, Unilever, GSK and Reckitt Benckiser, Smallfry has led some of industry’s most successful innovations.
Steve has represented the creative industries on the UK Trade & Investment’s bi-lateral partnerships in the Far East and is regularly invited to speak to international audiences on Innovation and using Design to develop brands. Steve lectures to academic institutions, including Cranfield MBA students, Cambridge University, Coventry University and Loughborough University. Smallfry also participates with student development programmes at the Institut Superieur de Design in France.
Steve is a graduate in Industrial Design and Engineering from Leicester De Montfort University. Following a condensed MBA at Warwick University Steve studied consumer marketing under renowned marketing guru Philip Kotler at the JL Kellogg Graduate Management School in Chicago. He is also Regional Director of British Industrial Design Innovation and the 2015 Institute of Directors, Director of the Year Award for the West Midlands in the Small Business Category.

A well organised exhibition that generated plenty of foot fall. We would happily support Med-Tech Innovation Expo again, and look forward to the relocation to the NEC.
