Michael qualified in Industrial design at Central St Martins in 1985 and has worked since, winning awards with consultancies and industry in automotive, aerospace, consumer and medical technology sectors. His extensive experience led to problem solving and equipment design assignments for public sector organisations including the Department of Health, NHS National Innovation Centre and NHS nationally, leading on innovation in medical technologies programmes including, HCAI technologies, novel surgical instruments (Barts, QMC & Royal Free, i4i), and Chair4Life, a radically new, powered wheelchair for NHS. He has designed and provided innovation consultancy for clients including GSK, ThermoFisher, Oxford Medical Diagnostics, Gama, Airbus, Raleigh, Honda, Aprilia, Suzuki, Xerox, Shell, Iveco, NHS and UK Sport Olympics equipment design. He led projects in USA, EU, S America, India, China and SE Asia.
