David Stone is a well-known consultant in health and social care information governance circles. He has held national roles in Connecting for Health and acted as Head of Information Governance in acute and Commissioning Support Units, as well as providing consultancy in mental health, primary care, ambulance, public health and local authority settings. He has sat on various national policy groups, including NHS England’s IG Steering Group, IG Transition Group and New Care Models Strategy Group. He established the UK IG Network in 2008.
Since starting Kaleidoscope, David has continued his high-profile role in health and social care data privacy, being the author of various national guidance and consulting on large-scale data sharing projects.
Kaleidoscope works across UK, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, UAE and widely in Europe. Our projects have developed national policies, as well as regional and organisational projects, medical technologies and life sciences.
Kaleidoscope now divides its self into three practice areas: strategy, organisation and technology. The Technology Practice focuses on medical technologies and research study compliance.
Within the medical technologies work, David and the team help start-ups and more established companies evidence compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and navigating NHS policy.
