Director of Healthcare Development and Strategic Services (HDSS)
Chris Hudson joined Roche in 1998 as Marketing Manager, Patient Monitoring for UK and Ireland. In the last 18 years, he has held a number of Senior Leadership positions both in the UK and globally. In 2001, Chris was promoted to Business Unit Director of Patient Monitoring and in 2005, to Director of Diabetes Care UK. In 2007, he became the Head of Commercial Marketing in Germany and in 2009, the Head of Blood Glucose Monitoring Marketing. In 2012, Chris returned to the UK as Director of Roche Tissue Diagnostics and in 2015, he became the Director of Healthcare Development and Strategic Services. This directorate encompassed medical and public affairs, market access, and health economics. In 2018, the directorate integrated new functions, including business development and innovation. Outside of Roche Diagnostics, Chris is an Executive Committee and Board Member of the British In Vitro Diagnostics Association, and the Diagnostic Industry Representative on the Medical Technologies Advisory Committee for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.
