Oxartis, a startup from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oxford, and located at Upper Heyford. Our expertise is in biomaterial scaffold manufacture R&D as a Medical Device.
We are developing ProMatrix BioDerm, an off-the-shelf regenerative tissue scaffold that enables rapid, scarless wound reconstruction. This novel nano-structured biomaterial shifts the clinical paradigm from "heal then treat scars" to true regeneration. The manufacture process to create highly porous biomaterials with a nanoscale base structure is a unique, patent-protected, scalable, energy and time-efficient and amenable to automation.
We also offer research services for:
- Scanning electron microscopy imaging
- Custom tissue scaffolds for in vitro / pre-clinical research
