-

Presentation Med-Tech Innovation Conference - A120

Cleveland Clinic, a not for profit academic health system based in Cleveland, Ohio, is establishing a hub in London, UK. In 2019, Cleveland Clinic Health System covers over 35 Million square feet across the globe, turned over $10 billion in revenue, employs over 60,000 people and is uniquely managed by a group practice of nearly 4,000 physicians and consultants. The system is expanding into the UK to continue to learn and innovate by combining the best of US healthcare with the best of UK medicine. Through this novel approach to entering a market, Cleveland Clinic London uses empathy as a core value. Together through empathy and other trust building efforts, an organization can transform (or in Cleveland Clinic London’s case, establish) a culture that drives performance, engagement and loyalty in order to best serve patients. In this talk, we will discuss Cleveland Clinic’s journey of international expansion, why the UK is a destination for healthcare and innovation, and the principles Cleveland Clinic London will use to establish itself in this very competitive market.
